Training Calendar 2011/2012
(Spring Update)
The focus of the Area trainings will continue to be on the Foundation Modules for New Guiders and Safe Guide. These Modules have been developed to meet the needs of New Guiders and are outlined on the New TEAM chart available on the Member Zone of the National Website. New Guider Training consists of a review of “Because of the Girl – Tips for New Guiders” (available from your District Commissioner) which gives an orientation to working with girl in your Unit and is done before you attend “Safe Guide”,
“All About Your Branch” and “Building Unit Guider Skills” modules. The Safe Guide training module is the only one of these currently available on E-Learning. The trainings are currently being offered in the Nanaimo community area and will not be offered again until the fall.
New Guiders who complete the 2 New Modules and Safe Guide will receive their Red Pin for the Foundations of the Unit Guider Stream Training.

Location info:
Rutherford Elementary School is located at 5840 Hammond Bay Road, Nanaimo. Entrance to the multi-purpose room (MPR) is located at the front of the school facing the playing fields.

Please contact Dalyce if you wish to attend along with your name, contact info, Unit Name and your District. Cost per each training session is $5. This cost may be reimbursable (after you attend) by your District as per their Financial Procedures. If you register and do not cancel your District will be invoiced as per Area Training Policy.
